Our crossroads – Te Arei Rd, Lepperton: In 2019, Helen had the opportunity to paint for charity once again, this time for Starlit Hope. The inspiration for the painting came to her during a familiar drive to pick up her daughter from daycare. Along Te Arei Road in Lepperton, she was gifted with a crystal-clear view of the mountain and asked the public to choose their favourite composition from her photos. From this photo, the painting was inspired by the sky and painted with children in mind, including a sense of protection like an "angel watching over”, note the angel wing clouds? The train tracks symbolize strength and a reminder to stop and be present. All profits from the sale of the painting were donated to the charity, Starlit Hope.
